The CITE/QUAD 2020 Joint Annual Conference scheduled to take place May 24-27, 2020 in Vancouver, British Columbia has been cancelled due to the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This is in response to the mandatory order from the Province of British Columbia to cancel gatherings of more than 250 people as well as guidance from PHAC, BCCDC, and all levels of government for Canadians to take preventative action.
All paid registrations will be refunded and room bookings at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre will be cancelled. Sponsors and exhibitors will be contacted directly to advise on refunds.
The CITE Annual General Meeting will be rescheduled to a virtual meeting with details to be announced. The Traffic Bowl and Student Leadership Summit usually held in conjunction with the conference have been cancelled and we are looking into options to hold a national Traffic Bowl so that a student team can win the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2020 ITE International Traffic Bowl.
We gratefully acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the Local Arrangements Committee (LAC), presenters, sponsors, and exhibitors who all put forward considerable efforts towards this conference..
We look forward to returning to Vancouver in 2022 and will provide details as soon as they are available. Until then, the next CITE conference will take place June 6-9, 2021 in Hamilton, Ontario. We hope to see you there.
