Vivi Chi, P. Eng. Director of Transportation Planning at the City of Ottawa is a professional civil engineer and problem-solver with over 30 years’ experience in municipal government. Vivi enjoys change management and has provided oversight on many transformative firsts, such as: the region’s first Environment Assessment study (West Transitway Extension); the reintroduction of rail transit (O-Train pilot project, Confederation Line); the City’s first Transportation Master Plan; the first pedestrian-cycling bridge over the UNESCO World Heritage Designated Rideau Canal (Corktown); and Ontario’s first segregated bike lanes in the downtown (Laurier). Her talented team has received numerous national and provincial awards for improving mobility and promoting sustainability in transportation planning.
